Time Bandits (1981)

Time Bandits (1981) is a fantasy film directed by Terry Gilliam and written by him and Micheal Palin. An eleven year old boy is transported through time by a company of dwarfs who have stolen the supreme being's map and are using it to commit audacious robberies. 

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: I thought it was awesome, really great and had good special effects.

DADDY: It is one of my favourite movies and it is so creative.

LILLY: It's like nothing you have seen before in your life and the characters are very appealing. It tells a story of life.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character?

LILLY: I liked the boy Kevin (Craig Warnock) because he helps in the adventure.

DADDY: He is one of the smartest characters in the film but I have a soft spot for Randall (David Rappaport).

LILLY: God is smarter.

DADDY: Debatable.

LILLY: Lol.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: When everyone from history shows up at the end.

DADDY: Especially the cowboys!

LILLY: I have to agree.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: No because the ending was really scary because you didn't know what happened to his mum and dad and it was a mystery.

DADDY: Yeah you wanted to know if there was a sequel.

LILLY: Yes.

DADDY: There was going to be but the actors who played Randall (David Rappaport) and Wally (Jack Purvis) died and Terry Gilliam didn't think he could make it without them.

LILLY: That is very sad.

DADDY: It is. 

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Fifteen because I didn't like the ending,

DADDY: Twenty for me because it is an amazing film.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) is a fantasy film directed by Christopher Columbus and based upon the novel by J.K. Rowling. A young orphan is rescued from his abusive relatives and begins a magical education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: I thought it was awesome and great and more great.

DADDY: I thought it was OK. I think it is quite a good adaptation of the novel but the kid's acting isn't fabulous.

LILLY: I disagree very strongly.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character?

LILLY: Hermione (Emma Watson) because she's smart.

DADDY: I like Professor Snape (Alan Rickman), he reminds me of my old maths teacher.

LILLY: Lol.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: When the sorting hat chooses them.

DADDY: Me too, I almost thought Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) was going to be in Slytherin.

LILLY: Really? It was obvious!

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: They have all seen it.

DADDY: Imagine you knew someone who hadn't.

LILLY: Then yes because it's awesome and has great special effects.

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Twenty it is a great film.

DADDY: Fifteen for me.

LILLY: What?

DADDY: It is just OK. I own a Slytherin scarf.

LILLY: You're evil!

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) is a fantasy adventure film directed by Peter Jackson and is the first of a three part adaptation of the book by J. R. R. Tolkien. The screenplay was written by Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens and Guillermo Del Toro who was the original choice for director. Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) is hired by the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) to join a party of Dwarves on a quest to reclaim their ancestral home from the dragon Smaug. 

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: I thought it had great special effects.

DADDY: I thought it was epic.

LILLY: Yeah!

DADDY: Who was your favourite character?

LILLY: My favourite character would be the hobbit (Martin Freeman) because he didn't want to go but he was brave. He's an awesome actor too.

DADDY: I like him too but I liked Gandalf (Ian McKellen) as well.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment.

LILLY: My favourite moment is when Thorin (Richard Armitage) pretended to be angry with Bilbo but he was really proud of him.

DADDY: That's mine too and it brings a tear to my eye.

LILLY: How sad.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: No because it would be too scary for them.

DADDY: Maybe but would you like to see the second movie with me at Christmas?

LILLY: Of course baby.

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Twenty because it had very good animation.

DADDY: Me too because it is wonderful. Mummy said I was a bit like Thorin because I am short, grumpy, proud and stubborn.

LILLY: Ha ha ha!

Despicable Me 2 (2013)

Despicable Me 2 (2013) is a 3D animated computer animated comedy adventure film and sequel to Despicable Me (2010) directed by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renauld with a screenplay by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Retired super-villain Gru is recruited by the Anti-Villain League to defend the Earth from the evil plot of another super-villain. 

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: I loved it.

DADDY: I thought it was really funny.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character?

LILLY: Gru (Steve Carell) because he had his moments in the movie.

DADDY: Me too and mummy thinks I am a little bit like him.

LILLY: No she doesn't, in your dreams.

DADDY: I could be an evil genius.

LILLY: He's not evil in this movie..

DADDY: I think that is why I like the first one a little bit more. We need to review that too.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment.

LILLY: When Gru was all happy and in love.

DADDY: I liked the bit at the end when the yellow minions sing, that made me laugh until I cried.

LILLY: I didn't see you laughing.

DADDY: Trust me I was.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: You have to see the first one and if you have then yes!

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Twenty.

DADDY: I'm giving it fifteen because I thought the story was not that strong. Do you agree?

LILLY: No I don't.

DADDY: Would you like some minions like the little yellow guys?

LILLY: Yes and no, they would have naughty moments and good moments.

DADDY: Yeah they are lovable but a bit silly.

LILLY: I have to agree
